How does the funding work?
SIIRD use to give funding up to US$1M for joint projects related to research and development or initial projects among companies that are from Singapore and Israel. SIIRD welcomes innovations to apply for the fundings.
How does R&D funding work?
The proposal submitted will go through an evaluation process by some independent professionals in Singapore and Israel; after the evaluation, the evaluated proposals are submitted for approval by the SIIRD board.
There are four types of project grants
- Full-scale R&D and commercialization grants: For the projects which require funding of US$4,00,000 or more with some commercialized technology or products and for the projects having a duration of 2 years or less.
- Mini R&D and commercialization grants: For the projects which require funding of US$4,00,000 or less with some commercialized technology or products and for the projects having a duration of 1 year or less.
- Feasibility study project grants: For the projects related to the investigation, running for technical suitability.
- Pilot project grants: For the venture to direct or testbed close market advances (for example, TRL 6) with a beta site with the end goal of commercialization and task length not over one year.
